Born in the South, Alicia Coleman caught the writing bug at age eight when she published her first story using cardboard, construction paper, and glue. It was a family best seller!

After college, a kid and several jobs, Alicia decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a writer. In 2011 she joined Romance Writers of America. She writes contemporary, paranormal, historical and science fiction romance and she is a member of the following RWA chapters: Contemporary Romance Writers; Cultural. Interracial, and Multicultural RWA; Futuristic, Fantasy, and Paranormal; and Southern Magic.

Authors that fueled her desire to create her own stories include Octavia Butler, Brenda Jackson, Beverly Jenkins, Francis Ray, Anne McCaffrey and Nora Roberts.

Alicia inherited her romantic soul from her father who looked upon his wife (Alicia’s mother) as a treasured gift from God.

When not researching and writing, you may find Alicia curled up with a book and sipping a hot cup of tea, searching for past family members through genealogy, watching reruns and movies of the Star Trek franchise or enjoying music.
